What an end to the game! After being arguably second best for most of the game, Chelsea nick all three points at the death through Victor Moses. Shakhtar Donetsk played some wonderful passing football and scored two good goals tonight, their wing-backs were particularly impressive and their attack looked dangerous but they appeared to tire towards the end and that's where Chelsea came alive. The Blues were fortunate that Andriy Pyatov wasn't having the best of games in goal for Shakhtar and they managed to capitalise on his mistakes for their first two goals before Moses sealed the win with his last-minute header. Chelsea are now level on points with Donetsk at the top of group E and one point in front of Juventus in third.

Gary Cahill meets a Juan Mata corner and heads it downwards at goal. Branislav Ivanovic almost gets a toe to it but Willian is ahead of him and he clears.

Shakhtar are starting to tire and allow Chelsea to dominate the game. The Ukrainian side are making some rash challenges and their goalkeeper, Andriy Pyatov, isn't helping as he punts a goal-kick straight out of play.

Just as Oscar is about to pull the trigger on the outside of the box, Razvan Rat gets a important challenge in to knock it out for a corner. It's floated in and punched weakly by Andriy Pyatov straight to John Obi Mikel; his shot is way off target however.

Another great run and cross from Razvan Rat is blocked for a Shakhtar corner, it's over everyone's head though and goes out for a throw-in on the far side.

Ramires gets on the end of an Eden Hazard through-ball in the Shakhtar box and goes down under a challenge from Darijo Srna. The referee waves play-on and Roberto Di Matteo does not look too pleased about it.
72' CHELSEA DOMINANCE
Chelsea are beginning to dominate now with the majority of possession. They set up camp outside the Shakhtar box before Juan Mata's speculative cross goes out for a goal-kick. Play then stops as the physios are called on for an injury to Oleksandr Kucher.

Fernando Torres makes a storming run at the Shakhtar defence and draws a free-kick just outside the box. Juan Mata floats a lovely cross in to John Obi Mikel who powers a header past Andriy Pyatov. The linesman has his flag up for offside however and replays show it was the correct decision.
61' GROUP E UPDATE
Juventus are currently beating Nordsjaellan 3-0 in Turin in tonight's other group E game. If the scores were to stay the same, Chelsea would lie in third place in the group and could be knocked out with one game to spare if they fail to get a result against Juventus on matchday five.
51' SUPERB SRNA
Darijo Srna, the Shakhtar right-back who set up Willian's second goal gets forward again and manages to get all the way into the Chelsea box where his attempted pass is cut out. He's causing Chelsea some real problems down the right.
47' MORE ON THAT GOAL
Excellent football from Shakhtar! After a solid two minutes of possession, the dangerous right-back Darijo Srna crosses low to Willian who side-foots the ball easily past Petr Cech. Stamford Bridge is left almost silent and it looks like this second half will be as eventful as the first.

45' HALF-TIME
Despite being behind, Shakhtar have looked the better team in the first half having had the majority of possession and they're passing very well. Chelsea had an excellent start and end to the half but have been wasteful in patches. David Luiz has looked particularly unreliable in defence at times but he's definitely been upstaged by Andriy Pyatov in the mistakes department; the Shakhtar keeper has managed to set up both of Chelsea's goals.
44' RISKY GOALKEEPING
Oscar manages to get a shot off inside the Shakhtar box that Andriy Pyatov tips over the bar. The resulting corner sees the Ukrainian goalkeeper flap at the ball again but fortunately for him it comes to nothing.
40' MORE ON THAT GOAL
Chelsea break from a Shakhtar corner and Juan Mata plays a wonderful through-ball to Fernando Torres. Shakhtar goalkeeper, Andriy Pyatov, has to come out of his box to head the ball clear and it falls to Oscar. The young Brazilian chests the ball down and volleys it home over the out of position 'keeper from 35 yards.

Chelsea are working hard to get their passing game going and they break quickly on the counter attack but Fernando Torres tries a ridiculous backheel and loses the ball again.

Juan Mata drifts a lovely cross into the box towards Fernando Torres. The Spanish striker fails to connect though and the chance goes begging.
30' TIGHT MARKING
Ramires wins the ball in midfield and passes short to Fernando Torres. He's almost immediately surrounded by three Shakhtar defenders. The Ukranians seem to be trying to mark Torres out of the game.
26' CHELSEA PASSING SPELL
Chelsea finally get some time on the ball and there's some confident passing around the midfield before Eden Hazard flicks it on to Fernando Torres who can't hold onto the ball and gives possession back to Shakhtar.

Shakhtar are having the majority of the ball here and their passing is better than Chelsea's so far. They're lacking the final ball for the most part though but they're still causing problems.

Chelsea win a corner after Fernando Torres is tackled in the box, after a clearance it's swung back in by Branislav Ivanovic and it almost falls for Gary Cahill but the ball is slightly beyond him.

After some sustained pressure on the edge of the Chelsea box, Fernandinho tries a long range drive which Petr Cech can only parry.

After an extremely quick start, Chelsea are trying to settle into a rhythm at Stamford Bridge with some short, contolled passing. Shakhtar however are still closing down quickly and wanting to attack.

Roberto Di Matteo has hinted in the press that John Terry may be rested having just finished his four match ban so Branislav Ivanovic could start alongside Gary Cahill at the heart of the Chelsea defence.

Shakhtar Donetsk are one of this season's surprise packages, they're yet to lose a game this season both in the Ukrainian league and in Europe. A win for them tonight will put them six points clear of Chelsea and in an excellent position to qualify for the next round with two games left to play. Shakhtar will be hoping that Henrik Mkhitaryan can continue his prolific goal-scoring streak tonight; he's scored 14 in 13 games so far this season.
0' CHELSEA OUT FOR REVENGE
The Blues will be looking for revenge for their 2-1 defeat in the Ukraine when these two sides last met, a match in which they were out-played by a determined Shakhtar side. The European Champions haven't lost at home in the Champions League since April 2011 however and a win will take them above Shakhtar on goal difference in group E.

Chelsea play host to an in-form Shakhtar Donetsk at Stamford Bridge tonight in a match that looks set to have a big say on the outcome of group E. A win for Shakhtar will put them clear of Chelsea and Juventus while a victory for the Blues will send them top. The last time these two sides met, Chelsea were comprehensively beaten in Donetsk, the European Champions will need to perform a lot better if they are to keep their hopes of retaining their Champions League crown alive.
