Argentina-Brazil friendly cancelled as lights fail Latin American Football Headlines (AP Photo/Jorge Saenz) RESISTENCIA, Argentina (AP) An Argentina-Brazil friendly was called off on Wednesday after some of the floodlights at the stadium failed to work. Organizers waited more than an hour before calling off the match, frustrating thousands of fans who were in the stands and waiting for action. All they saw were players warming up. The teams were not first-choice selections but made up of players from the respective domestic leagues. Organizers ruled out playing the match on Thursday since players needed to be returned to their club teams. It was not immediately clear if fans would receive refunds. Updated October 3, 2012
