90' CHELSEA HELD BY RESOLUTE QPR
Roberto Di Matteo saw his side drop their first points of the season in a toothless display at Loftus Road. Julio Cesar had been the busier of the two keepers in the first half, but it was Petr Cech who proved his worth in the second. The Chelsea keeper saved well from Ji-Sung Park and stood up to prevent Bobby Zamora converting a poor back pass from John Obi Mikel. However, Eden Hazard should have scored the winner with minutes remaining. Victor Moses did well to pull the ball back to the waiting forward, but the Belgian blasted the ball over the bar and that was the final chance on an afternoon lacking in cutting forward play.

Another injury for QPR as Anton Ferdinand hobbles off the pitch. It looks like the home side will have to see the game out with only ten men as they have used all their substitutes.
87' WHAT A MISS
Wow, just wow. Victor Moses does well to get to the line and pull the ball back for the waiting Eden Hazard. The midfielder has an open goal, but he leans back and blasts the ball into orbit.

A moment of danger for QPR as a ball to the back post is knocked back by Ji-Sung Park. Djibril Cisse is first to the ball, but David Luiz isn`t far behind and manages to clear.
81' INSTANT IMPACT
Daniel Sturridge has only been on briefly, but has already looked more dangerous than Fernando Torres. The substitute combines well with Eden Hazard and crosses into the box, but the referee says the ball crossed the touchline.

With Chelsea still not looking like opening the scoring, Roberto Di Matteo decides to introduce Daniel Sturridge. Fernando Torres stomps off the pitch.
76' CECH DOES WELL
A poor back pass from John Obi Mikel is straight into the path of Bobby Zamora. The striker partially goes round Petr Cech, but the keeper stands up. Team mates scream at Zamora for the cross, but the striker chooses to drill at a defender.
74' NELSON SAVES THE DAY
Victor Moses tries to race on to a cross field ball and he looks like he is going to get there until Ryan Nelsen sees the danger. The defender rushes across and gets the ball away from the sprinting Chelsea star.
71' TERRY INJURED
The Chelsea defender eases a ball back to Petr Cech, but he looks to have twisted his knee and that could be a problem for the England man.
69' QPR SUBSTITUTION
Djibril Cisse comes on for Shaun Wright-Phillips. Will the striker score or get sent off?
67' GREAT CROSS
Eden Hazard wriggles past his man and sends an inswinging ball into the far post for the waiting Branislav Ivanovic. The defender has been in goal scoring form so far this season, but this time he gets his header wrong and steers it off target.

Frank Lampard sends a long hopeful ball forward for Eden Hazard. The Belgian chases and manages to force Nedum Onuoha into conceding the corner.
61' AMBITIOUS
Oh dear, oh dear. Sorry Shaun Wright-Phillips, you aren`t that good. The winger runs onto a long pass and tries to half-volley it at goal, but he gets it all wrong and slices the ball wide.
59' CHELSEA SUBSTITUTION
Roberto Di Matteo decides it is time to change things. Ryan Bertrand makes way for Victor Moses.
57' CECH SAVES
Ji-Sung Park is left unmarked and has a great chance, but the winger's header is straight at Petr Cech and the keeper grabs the ball. The former Manchester United player should have done better.

More good play from QPR as Ji-Sung Park is released down the left. The winger tries to curl a cross into Bobby Zamora, but John Terry is across to clear.

QPR have upped their work rate this half and it means Chelsea are struggling to get any time on the ball and persistantly giving possession away. Can the home side keep this up for the whole half?
49' GOOD TURN
A nice build up from QPR as a flick from Bobby Zamora finds Jamie Mackie, who is just inside the box. The striker spins and hits a shot, but it is at a nice height for Petr Cech.
46' SO CLOSE
Straight from the kick off, QPR nearly carve out a chance. A ball to Bobby Zamora is knocked into the path of Jamie Mackie, but John Terry stands firm.

Here we go again. Can we get some goals in this half?
45' CHELSEA ON TOP
Julio Cesar has definitely been the busier of the two keepers in the first half as he gets his QPR career under way. The keeper saved early from Eden Hazard and has since denied both Frank Lampard and Fernando Torres. QPR failed to settle and that wasn`t helped with Fabio and Andrew Johnson being forced off due to injuries. However, despite Chelsea's dominance they have not been able to take the lead and do look a little nervous at the back. If QPR can get a spell of pressure then you feel they could easily nick a goal.
45' HALF TIME
We have reached the break with neither side able to break the deadlock.
45' MACKIE
A diagonal ball finds Jamie Mackie between the two centre backs and the forward turns to run at the defence. Shaun Wright-Phillips flies down the right, but Mackie decides to shoot and it is blocked by David Luiz.
44' QPR POSSESSION
The last ten minutes have been all about Chelsea and their control of the game. However, the home side have finally decided they deserve some time in possession and have slowed their tempo down to keep hold of the ball.
41' GREAT BLOCK
John Obi Mikel doesn`t score often, but he may feel a little unlucky there. The midfielder smashes a loose ball at goal and it looks like it is heading in until Anton Ferdinand blocks.
37' EASY FOR CESAR
A little too ambitious from Frank Lampard as he tries to squeeze a free kick past the keeper from a long way out. It had to come through a number of bodies, but it was never going to trouble Julio Cesar.
35' OVER THE BAR
Frank Lampard sends in a low corner, which evades everybody apart from the diving David Luiz. However, the ball springs off the defenders curly hair and flies into the crowd.
32' QPR SUBSTITUTION
Another substitution for QPR. Fabio has already been replaced and now Andrew Johnson has once again suffered an injury. Jamie Mackie replaces the former Everton striker.
29' NO PENALTY
Shaun Wright-Phillips chases Fernando Torres into the penalty box and the striker goes down under the clumsy challenge. Chelsea turn towards the referee, but he gives a goal kick.

Ryan Bertrand goes in with a very poor challenge and has his name taken by the referee.
24' GOOD STRENGTH
A great ball is sent into Bobby Zamora, but David Luiz uses his body to hold off the tall striker and clears the ball to safety.
22' NO ADVANTAGE
Ryan Bertrand is caught by former team mate Jose Bosingwa and the referee blows for a foul. However, Eden Hazard had gone flying forward with the ball and wanted the advantage played.
19' QPR SUBSTITUTION
That is the end of this afternoon for Fabio as he has picked up an injury. Nedum Onuoha replaces him.

Chelsea come forward again and this time it is in-form Fernando Torres' turn to be denied by Julio Cesar. QPR need to up their game.

Save number two for Julio Cesar as he gets across to deny Frank Lampard. Chelsea have taken control of this match.
10' MIDFIELD BATTLE
It is a close match so far with both teams having good spells on the ball. The only chance so far has dropped to Eden Hazard, but Julio Cesar made a decent save.

Julio Cesar stands up well as Eden Hazard goes through on goal. The forward can`t get the ball out of his feet and can only hit it straight at the keeper.
4' POOR PASS
QPR have started brightly and are knocking the ball around well with Bobby Zamora and Shaun Wright-Phillips looking particularly impressive. However, then Esteban Granero knocks the ball too long for Ji-Sung Park to give Chelsea the throw.

A Chelsea corner is cleared and the home side are able to break through Shaun Wright-Phillips. However, Ashley Cole gets back to snuff out the danger.

The rise and rise of Ryan Bertrand continues as he is given a place of the left of midfield with multi-million pound signings Victor Moses, Oscar and Daniel Sturridge kicking their heels on the bench. David Luiz and John Terry are at centre back, so Gary Cahill is a substitute.

Following Robert Green's poor start to the season, Julio Cesar makes his QPR debut. Esteban Granero continues in midfield and will hope to improve on his last performance, whilst Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson are the rather underwhelming front pair.

I don`t fancy being Andre Marriner in the middle of what who-knows-what might happen, so don`t be surprised if he doesn`t make his mark on this game with a couple of early yellow cards in an attempt to get control.
0' BLUES BEWARE MIND'S ARROWS
Strange how a poor display in a meaningless fixture can turn around the perception of success. In their last Premier League performance, Chelsea resoundingly spanked Newcastle but then came the Super Cup and Radamel Falcao. The thumping at the hands of Atletico Madrid has raised arrows of doubt in many minds, but have they barbed into the psyche of Blues players.
0' ON AND OFF PITCH QPR JUXTAPOSITION
Off-the-pitch it has been an exciting time to be a QPR fan what with all the star arrivals, but the transfer tumult cannot make up for the poor performances across that white line. With the money Mark Hughes has spent he has to be feeling the pressure. A win today could issue a new period of optimism, but it isn`t going to be easy against the on song Fernando Torres and company.
0' LET FOOTBALL DO THE TALKING
A London derby between two previously impoverished rivals, now fallen upon on untold riches promises a stirring game. A handshake-shaped shadow remains cast over the pitch but, after the week football has had, let us hope that it is the game we all love that is the talking point come the end of the day. Chelsea will be desperate to retain the only 100% record in the Premier League, whilst QPR will want to kick start their season with a win.
