90' DEFENSIVE PROBLEMS MOUNT FOR SWANSEA
Michael Laudrup was once again given a headache from some poor defending as Swansea surrendered to a physical Stoke side with Chico Flores the main cause for concern. The defender was brought straight back into the side following his suspension, but he never looked comfortable when up against Peter Crouch. The striker opened the scoring with a header from six yards after he escaped the Spaniard from a corner. Crouch would double the lead before the end of the first half with a neat finish. However, Swansea will feel they should have cleared the ball long before the ball hit the back of the net. The second half saw the away side push on, but Stoke just looked to hold their two-goal lead and held their ground to deny the Swans.

Ben Davies goes down inside the Stoke penalty box after a great pass by Pablo Hernandez. However, it is a clear dive and the referee books the Swansea left back.
51' BETTER START
This has been a lot better from Swansea as they finally seem to be putting some pressure on the home side. However, they need to get a goal soon if they are to get anything from this game.
47' FINGER TIP SAVE
Better from Swansea as Sung-Yueng Ki shifts the ball on to his right foot and strikes a great shot that looks in all the way until Asmir Begovic flashes out a hand to turn it over the bar.
46' SECOND HALF
We are back underway.
45' PHYSICAL STOKE DOMINATING
Tony Pulis has had it all his way in the first 45 minutes against Swansea as he has seen his side pile the pressure on the opposition and score two deserved goals through Peter Crouch. The striker couldn`t hope to score an easier goal than his first when Chico Flores lost the big man, allowing Crouch to head a corner home from six yards. Swansea could not deal with the tempo and directness of their opponents. With less than ten minutes left to half time, Stoke finally got their second when Crouch was there to control and drive the ball into the next to double the lead.
45' OVER THE BAR
Sung-Yueng Ki sends a high cross into the box and Swansea finally manage to get something out of the Stoke defence. The ball is laid off for Leon Britton, but he sends his shot high and wide.
42' DAVIES PROBLEM
Swansea have a real problem as Peter Crouch has clearly identified young Ben Davies as a weak link and is constantly dropping on to the left back. Michael Laudrup needs to have a rethink.
39' SWANSEA IN TROUBLE
The away side are being completely dominated by Stoke and have no answer to physical nature of today's game. Chico Flores has really struggled and you have to worry that Swansea are going to be on the end of a hiding.
36' GOOAALL!!
The home side have been all over Swansea and finally the pressure tells. Ashley Williams does well to repel one attack, but then Pablo Hernandez gives the ball to Geoff Cameron and it allows Stoke to mount another attack. Peter Crouch has time to chest down and bury a finish past Michel Vorm.
32' CHICO DOWN
Chico Flores has just about given up trying to deal physically with Peter Crouch, so he has now taken to dropping to the floor when he is challenged by the striker. The referee falls for it this time.
30' GOOD CHALLENGE
Charlie Adam is again lurking on the edge of the box and a half-cleared corner drops for him. However, this time Nathan Dyer is out quickly to get a good tackle in.
27' SWANSEA STRUGGLING
Whilst the away side are only a goal down, they really are not having the best of days. Chico Flores can`t deal with Peter Crouch and the Swans are yet to create anything in attack.
24' POOR SHOT
Charlie Adam has a chance on the edge of the box, but he fails to get a proper connection. The midfielder shakes his head as he knows he should have tested Michel Vorm there.

Charlie Adam is down inside the Swansea area and he needs some treatment. He should be ok to continue though.
18' LAUDRUP FRUSTRATED
The Swansea manager lept up immediately following that Stoke goal and had plenty to say in the direction of Chico Flores. The Dane has finally returned to his seat now, but he continues to look unhappy.
15' LONG RANGE EFFORT
Michu tries a hopefully volley from a long way out, but the midfielder doesn`t really connect with it properly and it bounces nicely for Asmir Begovic. Probably worth an effort with this swirling wind.
12' GOOAALL!!
A decent corner from Stoke, but Chico Flores gets it all wrong as he allows Peter Crouch to escape his marking. The striker has the simplest of tasks to head home from six yards.
11' GOOD SAVE
Charlie Adam is given too much room and he wastes no time in hitting a shot at goal. Michel Vorm does well to parry as Ashley Williams was in his way.
9' POOR PASS
Nathan Dyer has not started the game very well. This time he tries to pick out Danny Graham's run, but over hits the pass and it is easy for Asmir Begovic to get to.
6' LITTLE AND LARGE
Nathan Dyer finds himself mismatched in a battle for a high ball with Robert Huth. The winger tries to nudge the defender, but only succeeds in giving away a foul. The resulting free kick is launched into the box and Peter Crouch is very close to opening the scoring.

Stoke launch a dangerous ball forward for Jonathan Walters, but Michel Vorm is off his line with some speed to grab.
