90' GUNNERS SCRAPE A WIN
A chaotic last 15 minutes saw Stephane Mbia sent off, Arsenal get the goal they deserved and QPR spurn two great chances to get something out of the game. For much of the match, the away side had managed to frustrate Arsenal, but when Mbia kicked out at Thomas Vermaelen, the referee was left with little choice but to send off the QPR defender. With a man advantage, Arsenal were able to stretch the play and it led to their winner when Mikel Arteta forced home a rebound following a fine Julio Cesar save from Olivier Giroud. However, QPR were not finished. First Esteban Granero shot wide and then a fine run from Jamie Mackie forced Vito Mannone into a fine save.

Great play by Jamie Mackie, who is currently playing at right back. He drives at the Arsenal defence, past two players and skins Thomas Vermaelen, but Vito Mannone saves the day.

Hang on a minute. Adel Taarabt plays a fine ball over the top and it looks like Esteban Granero will equalise, but he stretches and puts the ball past the post.

Santi Cazorla is getting so much room now. He picks the ball up, drives into the area and tries to curl it into the far corner, but Julio Cesar saves.

Much better from Arsenal as they knock the ball about and pull the QPR defence out of shape, but Theo Walcott can`t beat the first man with his cross.

Finally Arsenal get the goal they deserve. Julio Cesar denies Olivier Giroud with a great save. Mikel Arteta follows in and hits the bar with a header, but then he fires the rebound in from a yard out.
82' BRILLIANT SAVE
Outstanding save from Julio Cesar as a scramble from an Arsenal corner sees one QPR defender kick the ball against another and the ball flies towards the bottom corner. Cesar stretches out an arm to stop.
81' ARSENAL SUBSTITUTION
Gervinho doesn`t last long as he picks up an injury and is replaced by Andrei Arshavin.
79' RED CARD
Stephane Mbia and Thomas Vermaelen go shoulder to shoulder and Mbia goes down. The QPR man then kicks out at the Arsenal defender. The referee has no choice but to show Mbia the red card.
78' WHAT A MISS!
A great cross by Theo Walcott is headed back by Stephane Mbia straight into the path of Santi Cazorla and it is a chance he just can`t miss, but he does by skying the ball into the crowd.

The home side are the only one showing ambition now and they are forcing QPR back, but without looking like creating a chance.

Mikel Arteta is getting annoyed and decides to take a wild shot from 30 yards. The midfielder gets under it and smashes it into the crowd.

Jack Wilshere is brought off and Theo Walcott is on. Aaron Ramsey will come inside and play in centre midfield.

The away side have a free kick and send their centre backs forward, but they choose to play the ball backwards, towards their own goal. QPR are clearly happy with this scoreline.

Andre Santos crosses high towards the back post, but Aaron Ramsey can`t get over it and heads way too high. Arsene Wenger must be considering a substitution soon.
60' AND AGAIN!
This is terrible refereeing. Another free kick and Anthony Taylor counts out the ten yards, but the wall refuses to go back far enough. Does the referee book players? No, he just lets it go. Infuriating.
58' TERRIBLE FREE KICK
QPR continue to play up from free kicks and it is upsetting Arsenal. It is the second time that the wall refuses to retreat the full ten yards, but the referee refuses to act. Santi Cazorla looks annoyed and then mishits the free kick straight at the wall.
56' YELLOW CARD
Cheers from the Arsenal fans as they finally get a decision their way. Esteban Granero brings down Jack Wilshere and goes into the book.
54' WILSHERE UPDATE
Just a quick update on that Jack Wilshere injury. The midfielder is back on his feet and playing, but he continues to limp about the pitch. I don`t expect him to last much longer.
51' GOOD SAVE
Mikel Arteta curls a free kick in from the left and Per Mertesacker flicks the ball towards goal, forcing Julio Cesar into the best save of the afternoon.
48' WILSHERE DOWN
Jack Wilshere has gone down clutching his left leg. There are a lot of worried faces around around the Emirates.

We are back underway.
45' SOLID QPR FRUSTRATE GUNNERS
There has been little to warm a cold Emirates Stadium as Arsenal lacked the sparkle to breakdown an organised QPR. The Gunners have been neat on the ball, but without the required tempo and urgency to put enough pressure on the away side. Olivier Giroud has got through a lot of work, but has had little service whilst Aaron Ramsey and Lukas Podolski fail to give the home side the width needed to stretch a narrow QPR. Shaun Wright-Phillips has caused problems for a poor Andre Santos and you wouldn`t rule out an away goal coming from the little man.
45' HALF TIME
That is the end of the first 45 minutes.
45' CESAR SAVES
Another half chance for Arsenal as Andre Santos is allowed to cut inside and hit a low shot towards goal. However, it is never troubling the keeper.
43' OFFSIDE
QPR work the ball out from the back and then look to get Shaun Wright-Phillips in behind the Arsenal defence with a long ball, but the winger had made his run too soon and is flagged offside.
40' GOOD HEADER
Arsenal soak up some pressure and then spring foward. The ball is eventually rolled out to Jose Bosingwa, who crosses for the waiting Olivier Giroud. However, Stephane Mbia attacks the ball and manages to clear.
36' WEAK REFEREEING
First Anthony Taylor fails to book Samba Diakite for a nasty tackle. Then the referee does not deal with the QPR wall that first refuses to move back the ten yards and clearly edges forward before the free kick is taken.
34' POOR DECISION
Another poor piece of refereeing. Jack Wilshere runs at Armand Traore and cuts inside. Adel Taarabt tracks back and barges the midfielder over, but the referee refuses to give a foul.
32' FREE KICK
Bacary Sagna slides in and wins the ball from Ryan Nelsen, but the referee decides it is a foul and pulls the play back. Terrible decision.
29' GOOD SAVE
Olivier Giroud gets a little bit of space on the left edge of the penalty area and opts to shoot. Julio Cesar gets down and turns the ball away. That is much better from Arsenal.
25' QPR ENCOURAGED
Now it is the away team's chance to come forward and they are looking like causing Arsenal some problems as the home fans become increasingly frustrated.
22' SANTOS STRUGGLING
The Arsenal left back is not getting much help from Lukas Podolski and is looking extremely exposed to the runs of Jose Bosingwa.
19' POOR KEEPING
Jack Wilshere picks the ball up from deep and plays a one-two with Santi Cazorla. The midfielder then hits a low shot from the edge of the box. Julio Cesar is slow getting down and palms the shot out, but the keeper manages to grab the ball before Olivier Giroud can get there.

Olivier Giroud escapes into the channel, but he doesn`t realise the time he has. The striker snatches at the chance and it rolls into Julio Cesar's arms.

After a slow start, the home side have now taken control of this game. QPR are dropping deep and trying to absorb the pressure.
10' OFF THE BAR!
Bacary Sagna gets forward and finds the run of Aaron Ramsey - who is playing on the right wing - who flicks a header up and over Julio Cesar, but it lands on top of the bar.
8' SCRAMBLED AWAY
Much better from Arsenal as Santi Cazorla feeds Andre Santos, whose cross is deflected before it can reach Olivier Giroud. However, it nearly ends up in the net anyway as the deflection is close to beating Julio Cesar.
6' MANNONE SAVES
Shaun Wright-Phillips manages to escape the Arsenal defence again, but his first touch is too heavy and the ball runs through to the keeper to save.
4' OPEN GAME
Santi Cazorla nearly finds a way through the QPR defence, but is snuffed out by Jose Bosingwa. The away side then race up the pitch and Shaun Wright-Phillips looks to have got away from Andre Santos, but the left back recovers.

The great hope of English football Jack Wilshere gets a noisy reception as he touches the ball for the first time.

Neither Fabio Da Silva or Park Ji-Sung are deemed fit enough whilst Keiron Dyer also sits out yet another game due to injury. Bobby Zamora leads the line with the returning to form Adel Taarabt tucked in behind him.

Some great news for Arsenal fans as Bacary Sagna and Jack Wilshere return to the senior side after serious injuries. In attack, Olivier Giroud is preferred to Gervinho in what looks like a very narrow formation.

0' HUGHES NEEDS POINTS
Mark Hughes has never won a game as a manager at Arsenal and he really needs that to change today as he looks to rally a QPR side that are anchored to the bottom of the table. Last week's performance at Everton promised much, but ultimately QPR only came away with a point and they will need more if they are to get out of the mess they find themselves in.
0' WENGER HAS INJURY WORRIES
The early optimism has gone as Arsenal's bubble burst with two losses in a week against Norwich and Schalke. With several first team players out with injuries, a few difficult weeks could well be ahead for Arsene Wenger.
0' COULD QPR CAUSE AN UPSET?
The result should be cut and dried. Simply, Arsenal should have too much for the winless QPR, but then we all thought the same last week when the Gunners faced a Norwich side that were until then bereft of victories. With Arsenal's sudden vulnerability exaggerated with injuries, this could be a great chance for Mark Hughes to finally get a win at the Emirates.
