90' REFEREE COSTS EVERTON DEAR
David Moyes will be furious this evening as his side were once again pegged back from a position of control and he is sure to exchange some angry words with Mike Jones. Everton took the lead in the first half through a well worked Steven Naismith goal. However, Norwich upped their game in the second half and became considerably more physical with Robert Snodgrass flying in with some particularly nasty challenges. The home side looked to have ridden the storm until, in the last minute, Mike Jones gave the Canaries a free kick after Steve Morison had tripped over his own feet. The ball was crossed into the box and Sebastien Bassong headed home for the equaliser with Everton incandescent with rage.

A free kick that should never have been is crossed to the far post. Sebastien Bassong bundles the ball over the line to equalise in the last minute. David Moyes is furious.
88' YELLOW CARD
Incredible. Alexander Tettey charges down a Leighton Baines free kick and is four yards away when the ball is struck, but continues to argue with the referee when he is pulled up for it. I think the Norwich midfielder needs to have a read of the rules.
85' HOWARD SAVES
There is the chance. Anthony Pilkington is picked out in the box and John Heitinga fails to jump with the midfielder. Pilkington gets decent pace on the header, but it is too close to Tim Howard and the keeper is able to parry.
84' TERRIBLE PASS
Bryan Oviedo picks out the run of Steven Naismith, who makes a great run. However, the striker then tries to pick out Nikica Jelavic and it is closer to the corner flag than it is his team mate.

Goalkeeper John Ruddy can not continue due to a knee injury and Mark Bunn is on.
80' NORWICH PUSH
The away team have not given up yet and continue to throw the ball foward at every chance. However, the Everton defence are standing firm, but you get the feeling Norwich will create one opportunity before the end of the game.
76' JUST WIDE
Leon Osman makes a great run, which is picked out with a nice pass from Steven Pienaar, but again the midfielder's finishing lets him down as he slides a shot past the post. Could Everton be made to regret their missed chances?
74' BRILLIANT BAINES
It is stunning football from Leighton Baines as the left back drives inside, outpaces the defence and forces John Ruddy into a great stop. That Baines run put you more in the mind of a midfielder ala Bryan Robson than a defender.
73' GOOD SAVE
Bryan Oviedo has switched to the right and it allows him to come inside on his left to fire a decent shot low down, but John Ruddy is equal to it.
70' OFF THE LINE
Through force of will Norwich create a chance. Wesley Hoolahan is the architect, but Grant Holt's shot is cleared off the line by John Heitinga.
69' YELLOW CARD
No not for Robert Snodgrass, but Bradley Johnson as he goes straight through Phil Jagielka. This game is in danger of reaching boiling point.
66' TWO FOTTED TACKLE
Robert Snodgrass is at it again. Thomas Hitzlsperger goes to clear and the Norwich midfielder goes straight through him, but the referee fails to act. Snodgrass should at least be in the book for persistent fouling.

Everton try to take a short corner, but the Norwich players were hardly two yards away and the referee orders a retake.

Thomas Hitzlsperger does well to pick out the head of Sylvain Distin and the defender does even better to steer the header on target, but there was never going to be enough pace on the ball to beat John Ruddy.

Grant Holt breaks the Everton offside trap, but Tim Howard is quickly out to close the angle and manages to save as an equaliser looks inevitable. Worrying times for David Moyes.
57' GOOD SAVE
John Heitinga gives away another free kick on the edge of the box. Anthony Pilkington lines up the deadball and gets the ball around the wall, but can't beat Tim Howard who gets across well.
54' NORWICH DIRECT
The away side are trying to get the ball to Grant Holt a lot earlier this half and the Everton defence is slowly getting worn down, but Norwich are yet to test Tim Howard.
50' UP, UP AND AWAY
A Norwich free kick is cleared by Everton, but only as far as Alexander Tettey. Fortunately for the home side the resulting strike is woeful and way off target.

Tim Howard finally has something to do, but it isn`t because Norwich have suddenly burst into life, it is due to a sliced clearance from his own team mate, which he does well to claim.

We are back under way.
45' EVERTON IN CONTROL
A solid Everton performance – with the occasional sparkle – has been enough to grab a one-nil lead against a subdued Norwich side. Before this game, the Canaries had not conceded a goal in three matches but it was far too easy for Bryan Oviedo to drift behind the defence and pick out Steven Naismith, who smashed the ball into the roof of the net. Everton would go close on another couple of occasions with Leon Osman being the main protagonist.

The referee blows the whistle for half time.
45' SLEEPY NAISMITH
Everton take a free-kick quickly and seek out Steven Naismith with a decent ball, but the striker was too slow to react and John Ruddy claims the ball.
41' HEADED WIDE
Sebastien Bassong climbs above the Everton defence and looks sure to power home the equaliser from a corner, but somehow the big defender mis-times his header and puts it well wide.
38' EVERTON IN CONTROL
The first half has been all Everton so far. However, Norwich fans shouldn`t be too down as the Toffees seemed in total control against Reading last week only to lose thanks to two second half strikes.
34' QUICK KEEPING
Stunning one-touch football from Everton. Phil Jagielka knocks the ball inside and a quick couple of passes releases Steven Naismith, but John Ruddy gets down at the feet of the forward to deny Everton.
31' POOR TACKLE
Everton feed the ball into the feet of Nikica Jelavic, but Sebastien Bassong goes straight through the back of the striker and is lucky to escape a yellow card.
28' GREAT TACKLE
Leighton Baines tries to drive inside and for a moment the Norwich defence looks to have parted, but suddenly Sebastien Bassong steps in with a fine sliding challenge to win the ball.
25' WASTED CHANCE
Grant Holt rides a couple of challenges and finds himself through on goal, but fails to compose himeself and fires into the crowd.
23' POOR PASS
Everton have good possession in the final third, but Thomas Hitzlsperger tries an ambitious ball to pick out Steven Pienaar. The pass is easily intercepted and Norwich move away with the ball.
19' GREAT CROSS
Norwich again give Leighton Baines too much room and the full back curls in a stunning ball for Nikica Jelavic, but the defender just eases the striker away.
17' GOOD SAVE
More good play from Everton as Steven Pienaar sets Leighton Baines off on a run. The left backs fires a shot across goal and John Ruddy does well to palm the ball away. Leon Osman should do better with the follow up, but drives the chance into the ground and over the bar.
14' SNODGRASS IN TROUBLE
The referee calls Grant Holt over and asks him to calm his team mate Robert Snodgrass down. The midfielder has made a number of fouls and is continuing to argue with the official.
12' GOOAALL!!
Brilliant from Everton. Bryan Oviedo does brilliantly on the left and gets to the touchline. The debutant then pulls the ball back to Steven Naismith, who fires past John Ruddy.
10' GREAT BALL IN
Rather than John Heitinga playing right back, the job has fallen to Phil Jagielka and the defender curls in a great cross, but Norwich defend it well.
7' JELAVIC WORKING HARD
With Marouane Fellaini missing, Nikica Jelavic is having to be a bit more dynamic in his play and is chasing the ball into channels.
3' UNLUCKY
Everton start well with new England cap Leon Osman sending in a curling shot that just misses the goal. John Ruddy could only scramble across his goal.

Chris Hughton makes only one change to his side with Ryan Bennett coming in for Michael Turner at centre-back.

David Moyes makes a couple of changes. John Heitinga moves to right-back so Seamus Coleman misses out and Sylvain Distin comes in at centre back. With Marouane Fellaini suspended, Moyes brings Steven Pienaar inside and opts to start Bryan Oviedo on the left of the midfield.

Mike Jones has had a few weeks off from Premier League action so his senses should be sharp and ready to carry on his decent start to the season. The official is yet to send anyone off this campaign and let's hope that continues today.
0' CANARIES ON SONG
It's taken a while for Chris Hughton to see to see his methods work, but that awful start to the season has turned around in the last few games, culminating in that fantastic victory against Manchester United last week. However, the hard work is not over and they will need to repeat last week's performance if they are to get anything on Merseyside.
0' EVERTON LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK
Last week's loss was a major blow to Everton as they dropped out of the top four and suffered their first embarrassment of their Premier League campaign. Today's game will depend a lot on how the Toffees respond to that loss, with Norwich very capable of upsetting the home faithful.
0' NORWICH A WORRY FOR EVERTON
A home game against an unfancied side should be just what the Doctor ordered following the defeat at Reading, but injuries and suspensions are piling the selection worries upon David Moyes. The form book suggests that Norwich should be favourites as they have not lost in six and that includes wins over Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester United whilst Everton have only won one game in the last six.
