Both teams have come away from this game with a point, which was a fair result on reflection. The game was played at a frantic pace, with plenty of chances for both teams and much action for the fans to get excited about. However, neither side could find a winning goal after Walcott's storming opener and Fellaini's equaliser. Nikica Jelavic makes a huge mistake here. Leighton Baines robs the ball off the toe of an Arsenal defender and surges forward, before Jelavic cuts across his path and takes the ball from him. In doing so, he is automatically offside and Arsenal are given the free kick.

Everton have men on the field who could cause some real problems for Arsenal tonight. Nikica Jelavic, one such player, tries a shot from outside the box but it sails over.

The ball is being played around the middle of the park by both teams, with no real penetration in the last few moments.

The fans have been buoyed by that goal, as have the Everton bench. All they need is the boys out on the pitch to grab another and they will be delighted.

The Arsenal defence look lost for a minute here. The hosts stroke the ball around with ease and it falls to the feet of Marouane Fellaini, but Wilshere gets back just in time to rob it off of his toe and prevent a certain shot on target.

Kieran Gibbs is shown the yellow card for clearly pulling back Steven Naismith right in front of the referee.
20' CRUNCHING TACKLE
Marouane Fellaini and Mikel Arteta meet in the middle of the park, and the Arsenal man comes off a lot worse. I wouldn't want to mess with Fellaini.

Leighton Baines swings in a corner from the left and Marouane Fellaini rises highest into meet it, forcing Wojciech Szczesny to make a top-drawer save to prevent the goal.

Everton are coming into this game more and more and are finding space in and around the middle of the park. Mikel Arteta is struggling to contain his former colleagues.

Baines swings in a free kick from deep on the left, but Per Mertesacker rises highest to head the ball clear. Darron Gibson can do nothing but pass the ball backwards due to Arsenal pressure.

Hibbert crosses from the right, aiming at Marouane Fellaini, but the Belgian's header is soft and straight at Wojciech Szczesny, who gathers with ease.

Both sides have settled into their rhythm after that Arsenal goal, and the crowd are in good voice. We should be in for a lively game tonight.

Steven Pienaar and Leighton Baines work well down the left flank, with the latter's cross being turned away at his near post by Wojciech Szczesny.

The hosts don't quite know what has hit them. Arsenal came out of the traps like a shot and hit the home side with a lovely attacking move. Everton need to find their flow quickly.

Their draw against Aston Villa at the weekend is the first time in over a month that the Gunners have failed to score.
