CHELTENHAM, England (AP) Everton cruised to a comfortable 5-1 victory over fourth-tier Cheltenham in the FA Cup third round on Monday.

The Premier League club opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a close-range strike from Nikica Jelavic. Leighton Baines then converted a 21st minute penalty and Leon Osman slotted home four minutes after the re-start.

Russell Penn pulled a goal back for the hosts but Seamus Coleman lobbed Everton's fourth and Marouane Fellaini, who was involved in both Everton's early goals, turned victory into a rout in the 89th minute. Jelavic had reacted first after Fellaini's angled shot hit the far post and the Belgium international also won the penalty tucked home by Baines.

Everton will face the winners of a replay between Sunderland and Bolton Wanderers in the fourth round.
