MADRID (AP) Former Spain coach Luis Aragones, the founder of the country's "tiki-taka" style of football, says he is retiring.
The 75-year-old Aragones, who last coached in 2009 at Turkish club Fenerbahce, tells Spanish online magazine Voxpopuli that "age has retired me. When I left Turkey I knew it would be difficult to continue and today it is definitive."
After coaching various Spanish clubs, Aragones took over Spain's national team in 2004 and transformed it from a perennial underachiever into the 2008 European champion.
