Bowling wins Hamlin Short Track Showdown

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (AP) Matt Bowling won the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown on Thursday night at South Boston Speedway, fighting off Matt Waltz in the seventh edition of the charity race.

STATESVILLE, N.C. (AP) Troubled NASCAR team Swan Racing has found a home for driver Cole Whitt, while keeping Parker Kligerman under contract.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Nelson Piquet Jr. will compete in the upcoming Global Rallycross season with new entrant SH Racing.
