F1 team HRT put up for sale by owners MADRID (AP) The owners of HRT say they are in talks with a number of potential buyers to sell the Formula One team. Thesan Capital SL, which has owned Hispania Racing Team since July 2011, said in a statement Monday that "the moment to let new investors come through for HRT Formula 1 Team has arrived." The team is last in the drivers' championship with neither Narain Karthikeyan of India or Pedro de la Rosa of Spain having scored a point in 18 races this season. HRT started racing in 2010 after becoming the first Spanish team to be awarded an F1 license. Updated November 12, 2012 |
