Domenicali quits as Ferrari F1 team boss
MARANELLO, Italy (AP) Stefano Domenicali has resigned as Ferrari team principal after six years in charge and will be replaced by Marco Mattiacci, president of Ferrari North America.
After a poor start to the season, Domenicali says "it's time to make an important change. As head, I take on the responsibility of the situation we are in."
Domenicali replaced Jean Todt in 2008 and helped Ferrari win the constructors' championship in his first year in charge. However, the team has failed to secure a driver's title under his guidance.
