Ancelotti asks to leave PSG for Madrid

PARIS (AP) Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo says coach Carlo Ancelotti has asked to leave to join Real Madrid.

Ancelotti had a meeting to discuss his future with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Leonardo on Sunday.

Leonardo tells French sports newspaper L'Equipe that "Carlo asked to leave for Madrid, but we want him to stay. There was no firm decision, we listened to Carlo. We have to consider everything for a bit."
