95' WINNING EXIT FOR ELEPHANTS
The Ivory Coast's profligacy spares North Korea a second successive humiliation, but it's all academic thanks to Portugal's goalless draw with Brazil. The Elephants set the tone early with two goals in the opening 20 minutes from Gervinho and Kader Keita, but couldn't find another until late in the second half. Salomon Kalou got that one after Sven's side wasted a hatful of chance to rack up a cricket score, so it's Portugal who finish as Group G runners-up behind Brazil, with Ivory Coast third and North Korea bottom of the pile. It finishes, Ivory Coast 3-0 North Korea.

Romaric's desperate drive is pushed away by Ri Myong-Guk, just as the Koreans make their first change. Choe Kum-Chol replaces Mun In-Guk.

Ivory Coast certainly need some fresh legs, but Sven's got this wrong. The Swedish tactician withdraws his most creative outlets - Gervinho and Kader Keita - opting for Salomon Kalou and Aruna Dindane.

Gervinho's just inches away from getting his boot to Kader Keita's dangerous ball. The Africans need to get more men in the box, if they're to add to their tally.

As you were in the second half, with Ivory Coast dominating the play. Keita flicks a Romaric corner onto the head of Drogba, who hurls himself at the ball and sends his header wide.

Manu Eboue nutmegs his marker and races to the byline, before fizzing a cracking ball across goal. Drogba's ready and waiting, but Pak Chol-jin hooks it away. The Ivorians need to start putting these away.
49' COMFORTABLE STOP
Manu Eboue really should do better as he peels away at the far post to meet Boka's in-swinging cross. Instead of heading it, though, he catches it on the thigh and that's an easy save for the keeper, who appears to have recovered from that earlier knock.
47' MENACING RUN
North Korea are all at sea as Gervinho legs it upfield. Ri Kwang-chon doesn't get near him but, as the cross comes in, the whistle goes for a foul on the goalkeeper. Looks like a hip complaint.

Up and running again at the Mbombela Stadium. No changes at the break.
45' HALF TIME
Well, the Ivory Coast are keeping up their end of the bargain. They've clawed back two of the nine-goal swing needed to overhaul Portugal, and could easily have had three or four more. It is, however, goalless in the other match in Group G, which renders the result of this one meaningless. The Ivory Coast simply have to score a whole lot more and hope Brazil do them a favour. HT: 2-0.

Another let off for North Korea as Didier Drogba's adjudged to be offside, after yet more clever play from Gervinho.

So, so close for the Ivorians. Gervinho races into the box and sees his 10-yard rocket tickle the post. On this showing, they may well rack up a cricket score.
36' SUBLIME PIECE OF SKILL
Seemingly running down a dark alley, Didier Drogba checks back and cleverly flicks the ball between two defenders, who can only watch on in awe.
34' CRUISE CONTROL
Incredibly one-sided here in Nelspruit. North Korea just haven't shown any of the fight they put up in their opening day defeat to Brazil.
32' BALL JUGGLING
Boubacar Barry almost gets himself in a right pickle as he comes to take a routine cross that he almost carries over the 18-yard line. He swiftly releases the ball and wellies it to safety.
31' A WHISKER AWAY
Wowsers! Fantastic stuff from Kader Keita, who meets Eboue's raking cross flush on the volley, but his right-foot stunner sails just past the upright. That would have been some goal.
28' GROUP G UPDATE
Still goalless between Portugal and Brazil. As it stands, Ivory Coast could chalk up 15 and it still wouldn't be enough.
25' ONE-SIDED
The Elephants have well and truly stamped their authority on this one; they're monopolising possession. A handful of Keita corners, though, come to nothing.
22' RARE SIGHTER
A rare effort at the Ivory Coast goal for the sorry Koreans as Hong Yong-Jo blasts a 25-yard free kick wide. This is probably the easiest game of Boubacar Barry's career.
21' CHASING GOALS
Keita floats in a telling free kick that's just inches away from the head of the leaping Didier Drogba. At this rate, he could win the Golden Boot whether the Elephants progress or not.
19' GOAAAAL!!!!
Two and counting. Didier Drogba's bullet-like effort rattles the bar and appears to bounce over the line; it's not given but NDRI ROMARIC is there to head home the follow-up with the North Koreans ball watching. Hats off to Boka, whose killer pass played in Drogba, who probably should have scored. Portugal should be worried.

Romaric cuts in from the right and bends a left-footed effort past the keeper, only to be denied by the woodwork. North Korea are all over the place.

Well, it's been coming. YAYA TOURE strolls onto Baka's lay-off and guides the ball into the bottom corner from 18-yards. One down, eight to go...

The linesman's flag denies Didier Drogba his second goal of the tournament. Keita's cross was inch-perfect, but the big striker just strayed offside.

Gervinho leaves Ri Kwang-chon for dead and races into the box. He manages to squeeze the ball through the legs of the keeper, but there's no one on the end of it. Let off.
7' BOUNCING BALL
Boka dinks an inviting ball towards Didier Drogba, who's surrounded by red shirts in the box. A few bounces later and the ball's in the hands of the relieved Ri Myong-guk.
4' ATTACK VS. DEFENCE
Sven said they'd go for it and that's certainly the case. The Elephants are looking to push on into the Korean half, each and every time they have the ball.

Boka has a crack from distance, but it's easy for the keeper, who could be in for a very long afternoon.

Ivory Coast burst out of the traps and go so close to taking an early lead. Yaya Toure's clever through ball splits the Korean back-five in two and only the heel of Ri Myong-guk denies Kader Keita at the near post.

Plenty of intent from Sven, who recalls Gervinho and brings in Abdelkader Keita alongside Didier Drogba. Salomon Kalou drops to the bench, while Arthur Boka comes in for Guy Demel at right-back. There's also a starting place for Ndri Romaric, who impressed as a substitute against Brazil. North Korea coach Kim Jong-Hun, despite that 7-0 drubbing, names the same starting XI for the third time running.

Gervinho is pushing for a recall after impressing as a substitute in defeat against Group G leaders Brazil. Didier Drogba will again play with a cast protecting the arm he fractured in the warm-up win over Group E runners-up Japan. North Korea have nothing to play for after their 7-0 mauling at the hands of Portugal, and Kim Jong-Hun could hand his fringe players one last chance to salvage some pride

It's essentially a case of mission impossible for the Ivory Coast as they prepare to lock horns with World Cup whipping boys North Korea. The Elephants simply have to win and hope Brazil take three points off Portugal, but even then the odds are firmly against Sven's men progressing, with the Portuguese currently in second place on plus seven and the Ivorians in third with just a point to their name on minus two. An unlikely nine-goal swing would, however, do it for Drogba and co.
