BioCapable of being both a central defender and defensive midfielder, Ortigoza is one of three naturalized Argentines on the Paraguay roster, and he gained citizenship in 2009 to become eligible for the national team. Ortigoza was on Paraguay's roster for the final two World Cup qualifiers, and he made his debut in a 2-1 victory over Venezuela. He also played 55 minutes in Paraguay's 1-all draw with South Africa on March 31. Ortigoza came up through Argentinos Juniors, making his debut in 2004.
