Sharp reflexes and good distribution, Manuel Neuer is a promising young goalkeeper whose concentration sometimes lets him down. Loyal to Schalke 04, Neuer has played for them since 2004, starting in their youth team. He made his senior debut in 2005 and has since cemented his place as their first choice goalkeeper. After reaching over 100 caps for his club, Neuer is consistently developing but critics have labelled his inexperience as a weak point. After progressing through the youth teams for the German national side, Neuer made his senior debut in May 2009. With only a few caps to his name he would seem an unlikely inclusion to a vastly experienced German squad but a goalkeeping crisis has spurred Joachim Low to seriously consider the youngster for a starting place.
