BioA tough-tackling midfielder, 25-year-old Kagisho Dikgacoi has the talent to make a real impact for South Africa in the tournament. Defensively sound with strength on the ball and a strong passing game, Dikgacoi is exactly the sort of player a limited side like the hosts need to overachieve against their more talented, yet vulnerable, group opponents. A move to Golden Arrows from South African lower league side Bloemfontein Young Tigers gave the midfielder a chance to impress, and after four seasons at the club he earned a move to the Premier League, joining Fulham in the summer of 2009. Sent off on his debut, he recovered for a shaky start to become a useful squad player who looks to have the potential to become a regular in the English top-flight. Very few of the South African squad have experience in major European leagues, so Dikgacoi will need to lead from example at the heart of the midfield. Player Stats
