BioThree times Danish goalkeeper of the year, Jesper Christiansen is an imposing presence in goal and is capable of producing world class saves. Christiansen began his career in Denmark with brief spells at FC Roskilde, Olstykke FC and Odense Boldklub. Despite a lack of first team experience, Rangers were keen to secure the services of the goalkeeper and did so in 2000. During his three year stay in Scotland, he only appeared 3 times for The Gers. After brief loan spells at Vejle Boldklub and VfL Wolfsburg he moved back to Denmark to play for Viborg FF. He began to improve at his new club and secured a first team place during the 2004-05 season. Christiansen's performances secured him a dream move to current club Copenhagen in 2005, where he is approaching 150 appearances. Since making his debut in 2005, Christiansen has only recently passed the ten cap mark and is likely to be third choice at the 2010 World Cup. |
